The Berkshires are at their best when food is coming in fresh from local farms, the weather invites time outdoors, and meals stretch long into the evening. A wine club weekend at the Winthrop is built around those pleasures: seasonal ingredients sourced nearby, thoughtfully prepared food, and the freedom to open special bottles and enjoy them at your own pace. Days move easily between the kitchen, the verandah, and the table, with birdsong, breeze, and conversation setting the tone. With access to excellent local chefs and a house designed for lingering, the Winthrop offers the kind of setting where wine, food, and company naturally come together.

An Immersive Weekend
The estate becomes yours—entirely. In our thirteen bedrooms you can host up to 24 guests. The whole group can enjoy meals in the formal dining room, the plant-filled conservatory, and the 90-foot verandah overlooking more than four acres of lawn with distant views over Yokun ridge as the sun sets.

No meal time limits. No vendor restrictions. We connect you to our favorite chefs and dish washers and you choose what is right for you. No fluorescent-lit conference rooms masquerading as relaxing spaces. Just a gracious home, thoughtfully appointed, expansive grounds with trees that have matured for 150 years, where your gathering can unfold at the pace it deserves.
Quiet Luxury
We do not advertise widely. We barely maintain social media. We serve a small number of groups each year who value craft over spectacle, private spaces over crowded bars, and who understand that the most memorable moments are often not planned.
