Second try, or maybe third, we started a tray of lavender from seed. It's very exciting to see a few seeds actually sprouted and we now have a few tiny plants. Not sure why the whole tray did not germinate! I think we are too late to plant them this year, but we could take care of them inside for the winter and if everything goes right, have some to plant in the spring. This year were were unable to buy the lavender plants we wanted and for a while we could not get seeds either. Maybe we weren't looking hard enough. I don't know. I do know they can be very pretty, and once established, they can be productive too.
