Calendula Flowers

We planted these for the bees. We saw lots of them coming to feast. We did harvest some of the flowers and seeds. This mix is called Pacific Beauty Mix. When you snap the flowers off the top of the stems, your fingers get sticky. You can eat the pedals of the flowers raw and they do make salads very pretty. You can also add the flowers to oil and let them soak for a while (from days to weeks), and then the strained oil is thicker and more balmy which makes a nice salve for dry skin.
