Black Locus

This is a small black locus tree. We found many tall straight ones that were about 3" in diameter for much of their trunks and we cut them into 12' pieces and used them for fence posts. They are quite rot resistant so the ~4' of each post that is underground should last a while. I think they are very attractive as posts! Now that I have been sensitized to them, I see they pop up in many places around here.
