Farming at the Computer?

I think of farming as getting my hands dirty in rich black soil, bending over picking gifts from green plants, in the fresh air and nourishing sun.

But my farming adventure started like this.

I am doing research and reading blogs and websites. I have spent more hours this spring 'farming' like this, at the computer, than outside with gloves on.

Still, it's exciting! It really is.

This week I ordered fencing materials we will need for this nascent farm. Hopefully they will keep out the ravenous rabbits, our resident ground hog, and the shy but sneaky deer herd. As you know, this is a very important step in farming!
