We planted some of the Huacatay mint in the ground and it's sending up little babies, spreading a bit. It's a marigold-type of plant, so that is not surprising. These should grow to more than 3' high. Already the leaves are delicious. The taste is a mix of basil, lemon and mint flavor. It's not a common flavor but it's super delicious. We will start to harvest the tops soon and will make the traditional sauce (and freeze some of it, as I think we will have more than we can eat fresh), and I'll try to dehydrate some too. It likes to have a lot of water. We kept a few in pots because they were doing very well in the pots too.
